Make it happen…
Embrace your life. What a noble thought. We all want to attain that. Hi, I am Heidi and finding myself at crossroads. I am a wife, mother, and new business owner. My baby went off to school last year. I am pursuing a passion that I discovered I have. It centers around decluttering and organizing. I get to combine a skill I have with the joy of connecting with people.
Do you find yourself embracing your life?
What stands in the way?
The never ending to do list.
Too many roles to cover that nothing feels fulfilled
Work is stressful
You need to downsize, but don't know where to start
Paper is overtaking your counters and life
Covid is not going away and has interrupted your life in many ways
Home is not a haven anymore….too much stuff everywhere
You don't feel good about yourself
You are always tired and don't feel motivated.
So the list could go on and on. Life can get messy and overwhelming. Give yourself permission to pause, evaluate, give some grace and just focus on what you do accomplish. We are not wonder women. Yes, amazing, but as any human being we come with faults and short comings and different stages of life can zap us. Many variables can be at play.
I am so blessed, my faith, husband, children, church, extended family, friends, community, Iowa, and so on. I choose to embrace the good. So maybe I am not accomplishing any big feats. What can I accomplish this week? What weighs on my mind that I can control. One small thing was find a nice day and get a picture of the kids. Can seem like a mountain to climb. Make it happen. What clothes did they have in their closets without shopping to coordinate? Drove past a nice stand of gorgeous wild grasses the previous week and tucked the thought of it being a backdrop for a pic in the back of my mind. Gave the kids a heads up before they headed off to school for the day that taking a picture was a mission that night. (Anything to help encourage cooperation) My husband says to choose the golden hour of daylight and have the outside elements in line to get the best auto pic if not utilizing a professional photographer. Was a bonus to have him come along since he knows the camera. I go with auto and push the button. Keep the technicalities simple. Anyway…check…completed. Feels so good. Yes, I have a few pictures to sort through and yes, I need to send off individual pics to be printed and now the pics are taken and when I feel moved, I can even get the Christmas picture designed. No they are not perfect, I am ok with that, choose to be. The year is captured and documented of my kids. Keeping it simple and no stressful was well worth it for this year.
Think of one thing that is hanging over your head and make it happen this week. If it has anything to do with decluttering or organizing than know that I would love to work with you and help you get that closet functional again, your counters cleaned off, and help manage the overwhelming mental list of items that bog you down. Writing my first blog post is a huge mental and physical roadblock that I have put off for too long. I think I could enjoy this part of the journey in connecting with you my friend even though I just want to be with you going through a closet or drawer and sharing in your embrace journey.
My thoughts,
Heidi Ann
